Letters From your family

Elijah,
Well now that we made it to the next day, you finally decided to make your way to us! The nurse just came in and told us it should only be ONE hour! After fighting sleep for hours, everyone came to life all at once. Nana, Mamaw, Daddy, Mommy, Aunt Krystal, Aunt Nicole, and your cousin Leah are here and waiting. One Papaw is in the car and the other is on his way with Uncle Lionel. We have all enjoyed our time together tonight. It has been full of laughter and only a few tears. See you soon baby boy.
Love,
Aunt Krystal
Elijah,
Well everybody was almost asleep but when we found out you were on your way I think we all agree that we have never seen anybody jump up that fast, we can’t wait! Your dad and mom, mawmaw Jan-Jan, Nana, cousin Leah, Aunt Nicole, and Aunt Krystal are here waiting. The nurse said, “one more hour”!!! I can’t wait to meet you and I already love you so much, you have such a wonderful family and I can’t wait for you to meet all of them. Some are crazy (mawmaw Janice) but you will love her because of that. Well I am getting excited to see you so hurry up!!
Love you,
Leah

Elijah,
From the time I got to feel you movements in your mommy’s belly, I felt my heart grow warmer and bigger and I had such excitement for the time you would be born and we could all meet you. Now that you are here you will be loved by so many, especially by your Nana.
I vow to you that I will always be here to listen when you have something to say or to give you my shoulder when you need a good cry and to have a big enough heart to always love you.
Your Mom & Dad are special people. I know because I watched your Dad while he paced with worry until he could finally hold you himself. Be patient with Mom & Dad because sometimes you’re not always going to like the rules put before you. But all decisions made for you will be out of love. The greatest LOVE you will ever have will be from your Mom & Dad (me too).
I love you Elijah!!!
Love,
Nana

Elijah,
Well, you finally made it into our arms. After 26 hours and 8 minutes of labor you finally made your debut appearance. When I first saw you my heart dropped. I knew at that moment that I would love you more anything forever. Seeing you born was a pretty great experience. There was one part that had me more scared than I have ever been when you were coming out and got stuck and the cord was around your throat. Luckily the doctor and nurses were excellent. They got the cord cut before your momma knew anything was wrong. They had you cleaned up and in momma’s arms in no time.
Then once you were ready our big family was in there “oohing” and “ahhing” at your pretty little face. This was the moment we had all been waiting for forever. At least that’s how it felt. From the moment I saw you I knew that all I wanted to do is make you happy. I love you little buddy.
Love,
Daddy

Elijah,
Now I can look into those sweet, big, beautiful eyes of yours-you’re here and you’re everything I could ever want. The love I have for you is powerful. God has blessed me beyond measures. He has blessed me with you-Elijah.
From the very beginning, you were able to life your head up and have proven to be very attentive. All the little sounds you make put such a smile on my face. I can’t believe how good you are-you’re so content, calm and happy. Your father and I are very lucky. I look forward to watching you grow. I love you Elijah.

Mom
